Jason holds more than 15 years of graphic design and art direction experience. He started his career at the widely successful Chatelaine magazine where he held the position of Design Assistant. Working under his mentor Caren Watkins, he focused his talents on designing fashion, beauty and home decor pages. Jason moved to Redwood Custom Communications as Senior Designer working on Life etc., with RBC Rewards. He then moved to the agency’s key account, Kraft Foods, as Associate Art Director. In this role, Jason led Kraft’s North American email campaigns and oversaw a powerful segmented custom publication program, A Taste of What’s Cooking. He than launched Aeroplan Arrival, a travel magazine for Canada’s most prestigious frequent flyer program, and also helped develop the companion website. In this Art Director role he managed photo shoots all over the world, including Buenos Aires, Tel Aviv, Paris, Copenhagen and Cape Town. Over the years, Jason has won various awards, including: a National Magazine Award, House & Home, Gold Magnum Opus Award for Best New Publication Design, Aeroplan Arrival and Gold Canadian Cover Award for Best Home Decor Cover. In 2019, Jason moved from publishing at Canadian House & Home Magazine to Associate Creative Director at A Plus Creative where he led 360° campaigns, product packaging, social media roll outs, brand activations and video/motion branded content for clients such as Estée Lauder, Shiseido Canada, Smashbox Cosmetics, HBC, Shopper’s Drug Mart, Sephora, Live Clean and GlucksteinHome. Presently, Jason is the Head of Art and Design at global beauty brand The Ordinary and when he's not at the office he's enjoying competitive volleyball, perfecting his short crust and traveling to fun places.
